The purpose of the True Significane in the Academy is to explore what we as Christian academicians and professionals should pass on to future generations.
Legacy is what we leave behind. So it is important to ask, "What are we as Christian academicians leaving for the next generation?" Or more importantly, "What should be our legacy as scholars who follow Christ?"
A legacy is the influence on the future resulting from our actions today. A legacy establishes direction. A legacy establishes standards. A legacy inspires. A legacy integrates. A legacy requires faithfulness. A legacy demonstrates endurance. A legacy is an extension of one's life-an extension to others and an extension in time.

Focus the best use of our time. Give perspective on our fields of research. Prime our devotion to God. Remind us of the importance of eternity. Motivate us to invest in others. Heighten our commitment to purity and holy living. Draw us into prayer. Engage us in practicing the spiritual disciplines. Increase our gratitude to preceding generations for the legacy they left us.
Each IICS Vision Conference is a unique experience. It is an academic gathering with serious intellectual discourse in a worshipful environment that nourishes both hearts and minds. The content of each IICS conference is a distinctive focus on a Christian worldview fueled by a passion for Christ and broadened by a global vision.
International Institute for Christian Studies (IICS) and Christian Studies International of Canada (CSI), the sponsors of this conference, are international academic organizations which place Christian academicians and professionals in faculty positions at secular universities outside of North America and the UK. Currently, more than 40 IICS/CSI professors from a broad range of disciplines teach in 16 nations around the world. IICS and CSI offer many teaching opportunities in all disciplines, as scores of universities are asking for professors.
